A brief introduction of the above mentioned syndromes and their causes:
Carpal tunnel syndrome: Most of the Los Angeles hand surgeon offers carpal tunnel syndrome because this is the condition which occurs in every individual due to repetitive and over use of hands. This problem arises because of nerve irritation in wrist.
Cubital Tunnel syndrome: This is due to irritation of the ulnar nerve at the elbow.
DeQuervain’s Tenosynovitis: is due to pain in the radial area of the wrist while using the thumb.
Trigger finger: is due to the pain fingers or palm and even the pain due to locking and opening of fingers.
Ganglion cyst: This is the most common hand and wrist masses. These symptons are pain, decrease in joint range motion and disfigurement.
Dupuytren’s disease: it accounts a nodular change to the connective tissue of palm. Generally the pain starts from pinky side to thumb side.
Lateralepicondylitis: This syndrome is commonly known as Tennis elbow because it is mostly found in players of tennis. Other than this reason, this is a disease found in older age people.
Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer's Elbow): This is nothing because of pain in ulnar side of the elbow. This pain is due to repetitive use of medial epicondylitis and lateral epicondylitis.
Degenerative & Rheumatoid Arthritis: This is also known as degenerative joint disease (DJD)where pain occurs due to natural progression of wear and tear.
